New survey shows enterprising messaging system DeskAlerts one of top three corporate social network tools
The results of a new survey published today show that the desktop alert software DeskAlerts is now the third most popular social network tool. In an employee survey, carried out amongst hundreds of its customers last month, the enterprise messaging system asked its clients which social networking tool was used most often within the company.
The survey, which polled US, European and Middle Eastern companies including DeskAlerts clients and non clients, showed that just a handful of tools are commonly used by businesses to maintain their social networking accounts. Of the top five answers given by the survey respondents, the desktop alert software claimed 31% of the responses.
Anton Vdovin, Project Manager at DeskAlerts, said, “We asked hundreds of people in our latest employee survey to pick the social tool they used most frequently and were delighted that so many named DeskAlerts. Those surveyed included non clients as well as those already using our system and with major tools such as Sharepoint and Chatter also on the list, it’s gratifying that so many businesses are turning on to DeskAlerts. We believe these results show just how versatile the system is.”
Of the responses given, just three names claimed the majority of users. 52% of respondents said that they used Sharepoint most often internally to keep social networks updated while 34% said they used Chatter. 31% said they used DeskAlerts to keep their Facebook, Twitter and similar accounts updated while 3% said they used a custom developed solution. Around 18% of those surveyed did not use any tool, preferring instead to log in to social networks individually to post any required updates.
