The communication experts at DeskAlerts have turned their communication savvy to lead generation considerations this week, studying which of the social networks are most effective for business leaders.
In the latest in a series of strategic research projects, the corporate messaging tool has identified LinkedIn as the best social network for lead generation purposes. The news comes following a series of tests by DeskAlerts personnel which attempted to determine exactly where clients should focus their public corporate communications in order to create business growth opportunities.
As part of its recommendation that LinkedIn is the best and most effective of the social networks for initiating conversations and networking opportunities with potential clients, DeskAlerts cited the 120 million professional members LinkedIn counts on from around the world. While recognizing that rivals Facebook and Twitter may boast bigger numbers, DeskAlerts considers the fact that LinkedIn specializes in corporate, professional and business members as being significant. Whereas many Facebook and Twitter users are active on the sites for social purposes, LinkedIn has a uniquely corporate focus. This makes it an invaluable tool for those looking to drum up sales prospects.
DeskAlerts research into effective lead generation channels also uncovered two very powerful points in LinkedIn’s favor – firstly that it hosts executives from the lucrative Fortune 500 set and secondly that two new members join each second, giving a constantly refreshed pool of contacts to tap into.
The corporate messaging tool’s investigations are backed by a recent HubSpot report which compiled a visitor to lead conversion rate for the three main social networks. LinkedIn was the clear winner with a 2.74% conversion rate, compared with just 0.77% for Facebook and 0.69% for Twitter.
