In its latest study, the corporate messaging service looked at why employee engagement matters and what effect it has on staff morale. It found that an estimated 82% of employees are disengaged. Of these disengaged employees, 1 in 4 plan to leave their post within the next year. This level of employee turnover has serious financial repercussions with an estimated $14 billion lost annually as a result of staff departure and the resulting recruitment.
