Business Communications To Get Boost With New DeskAlerts Voice Function

Business communications across the country will get a boost this week as the desktop alerts tool, DeskAlerts confirms that it will release new text to voice functionality.

The update, which is set to go live later this week, is known as text to call. The new functionality means that DeskAlerts users will be able to turn their text based messages into voice messages at the click of a button. This new tool is expected to add an extra level of usability, accessibility and convenience to the alert solution.

Anton Vdovin, Project Manager at DeskAlerts, said, “Effective communication in the workplace is often lined to voice based channels and there are now some studies that suggest that voice based communication gets more attention than text or image formats. We feel very strongly that this new capability will further enhance business communications in offices large and small. It is both easy to use and quick, taking no more than a few seconds to convert a written message into a spoken one.”

The text to voice function is one of a series of new developments announced by DeskAlerts this year. It follows hot on the heels of the company’s unveiling of a brand new control panel designed specifically to be compatible with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The new control panel will support the ever growing popularity of web applications and mean that those on the move can log into DeskAlerts and communicate with colleagues just as easily as those sat at a desk in the office or at home.

DeskAlerts is expected to announce further additions to its functionality later this year as it continues its research into factors affecting and improving effective communication in the workplace.
